Hey I am glad you are here! My name is Vreni and I invite you to follow along as I share my ideas in Decorating, DIY, Food and also my love for Photograpy and I’ll probably think of other things too along the way.
To learn a bit about who I am, here is a little interview with myself…!
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
That is not easy for me but I’d say: Like to create, always having ideas, slightly old fashioned.
What makes you very happy?
It does not take much in that department! My husband usually makes me a cappucino after I get up in the morning and as long as I don’t have to talk for the first 1/2 hour we are good. (He can talk to me as long as he does not expect an answer ;-). I am happy for new ideas that I get, meeting nice and interesting people, seeing ideas everywhere I go and that there are so many thrift shops in my area as that makes me happy too!
What are you thankful for?
That I have the privilege to live in a rural area near a beautiful lake! Have a supportive family with 3 great kids and that I can be healthy!
3 of my favourite foods
Freshly baked bread with a crunchy crust
Anything breaded like Schnitzel is one of them…
Cappuccino or Mango/coconut Kerker (I guess that’s four then)
What is your perfect day off?
That cappucino in the morning and then off with my photo camera on a long hike somewhere interesting with the perfect lighting conditions 😉 and on the way home stopping at my favourite thrift shop finding something that I have been looking for for a long time! Getting home and sit down to a lovely dinner that somebody else cooked for me. Well that last part never happens but I keep hoping ;-)!
How is your house decorated?
I would say Scandinavian style as I have a lot of neutral colors, white, beige, plus I love wood and concrete pieces around that I mostly make myself (most of those you can look at on my FB page Vreni’s Place). I change “stuff” all the time as I don’t like to look at the same thing year in and year out.
Do you like to collect things?
I have a hard time getting rid of decorating Magazines or magazines about photography.
Do you like shopping?
Aehm no! (Unless it’s in a Thrift shop!)
What is your favourite flower?
I don’t have one! I like them all, some more than others. But if you still make me chose lets just say a field of wildflowers make my heart jump!
